Cafes
Wild Ryes
Wild Ryes is a local favourite. Carbs and coffee. Does one need anything else? If you’re heading to Pambula, you need to stop in for a batch brew and a Thai chicken curry pie, or two.
Toast
The local cafe Toast is our go to for a delicious breakfast close to home. Sit out on in the courtyard amongst the trees, drink ONA coffee and munch into breakfast, lunch and sometimes dinner!
Switchfoot
Switchfoot combines coffee, surfboards and surf wear. It’s the newest place in town, and it’s the place to be. Sip coffee slowly and soak up the sunshine, while Jed Done shapes epic surfboards out the back!
Restaurants
Banksia
Restauranteur’s, Hugh and Renee Jones know how to do it. Their new place nestled into their family home in the Main Street of Pambula takes local and seasonal produce and turns it into magic. The menu changes weekly, so if you see something you like, go twice!
The Oyster Barn
Perched on the waters of Merimbula Lake, here you can eat an abundance of local seafood cooked to absolute perfection. Oysters, Tuna, Prawns, Scollops. It’s all here.
Covington’s Thai
There’s something special about a small town Thai restaurant. And Pambula is lucky to have their very own! We are suckers for the Penang curry!
Shops
Goldfinch
If you’re looking for a brand or store that screams girl power, go no further than Goldfinch. Ran by designer Megan Luhurs, you will find ethically made accessories, body products as well as the brands’ own made clothes. The store also stocks legit vintage clothes from Europe.
Pambula Collective
This shop combines locally made and ethical clothes, pottery, lotions, homewares and more. Support our local makers and shakers down on the coast and pop in for some retail therapy.
Pambula Wholefoods
Pambula Wholefoods is your one stop local shop for a range of whole foods. Pack your jars and bulk fill for a weekend of cooking in the cottage.
Beaches
Pambula River Mouth
Our favourite place on the coast is here. Enjoy sapphire blue water, white sand and red rocks. All with the backdrop of National Parks as wide as the eye can see.
Lions Park
This is a beach the whole family can enjoy, even your fur baby.
Pambula Beach
A patrolled beach in peak times, this beach lets you swim freely in the ocean while people watch on. Feeling like a walk? If you follow the sandy shores of this beach, you’ll find yourself at Merimbula’s main beach!
